Simply qualified

There are certain qualifications that the leadership of a county government should have, especially a county spanning 930 square miles and consisting of nine different communities.

Among these qualifications is that humble touch, that down-to-earth approach to problems and fair decision making. And, it can't hurt if one knows their way around the dirt roads on the way to Ellis, Victoria, Antonino, Munjor, Pfeifer, Catharine, Walker and Schoenchen.

My endorsement of the candidate for Ellis County Second District commissioner is simple and concise. Dennis Pfannenstiel has these qualifications. Barbara Wasinger does not. Her city-government style approach to community issues won't work for county residents, I'm afraid.

Under some circumstances, when the qualifications of the candidate are well known, the plain statement, "Dennis Pfannenstiel for county commission," is sufficient.
