Today's America

A few weeks back in a letter to the editor, I made the claim that we are seeing things in today's national government like never before in our history. In that letter, I wrote that there are "scandals galore" to be mentioned later. At this time, I can't help but ask myself "what isn't scandalous?"

For example, an Obama supporter recently released a book in which he claims Obama's book "Dreams of My Father" had some 38 distortions about what actually occurred in Obama's life. Obama became a millionaire with his book, a book that had some significance in his 2008 election.

More and more is coming to light that our president is not a big fan of America's past, particularly as it applies to capitalism, conservatism and even Christianity. Let's make that past and present. I would say it was "scandalous" traveling around the world making all kinds of excuses for our past behavior and how he was going to change all of that and sure has to our detriment.

On a more specific note regarding scandals, there's "Fast and Furious." Somewhere, somehow, our Department of Justice sold guns to Mexico's drug cartels. One of those guns showed up at the scene of an U.S. border agent's death. There are books being written about this fiasco. Let it suffice for the moment to say this is ten times more serious than Watergate. This is huge. Check it out, readers, as mainstream media drags its feet giving us the real scoop.

Another huge scandal involves a parade of leaks coming from inside the Obama administration, all of which jeopardize our national security. There appears to be a deliberate attempt, with the leaks to the press and Hollywood to politicize some very important events. For example, there were leaks about catching Osama bin Laden in order to make our president look good for re-election. Check out those leaks, readers.

It is totally beyond my comprehension how this administration has been able to use taxpayer monies from the 2009 stimulus bill to pay back a litany of campaign donors -- and with no accountability. Check out Solyndra as an example, readers. Half a billion went to a company that made solar panels until its bankruptcy, which then we taxpayers have to eat. The $800 billion bill literally became an Obama slush fund.

Bush spent some $4 trillion in eight years to Obama's $5 trillion in less than four years is scandalous, especially when there is nothing to show for it in growing our economy and reducing unemployment.

Legislating ObamaCare was nothing but one big scandal. Maybe by the time my letter is published the Supreme Court will confirm my claim of a scandal with a ruling that OC is unconstitutional.

There is nothing this president will not do to be re-elected. The scandals will continue and I probably had just enough room in this letter to touch on 5 percent of unprecedented events we are learning about with mainstream media reluctantly dragging its feet to let us know the truth.

Unfortunately, space constraints in letters to the editor don't allow me to elaborate on how this president, like none other, is dividing this nation, and how he is shredding our Constitution bypassing our Congress with executive orders -- and, yes, has an army of socialists to help him.

I, for one, come the Fourth of July, will thank my Creator and our Founding Fathers for the opportunity, through our democratic system of government, to have the freedom of voting before the year's end for a better America.
