Special to the HDN

Local art patrons are welcome to attend the annual Fort Hays State University Department of Art and Design Art Scholarship Sale, held from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, in Rarick Hall on the FHSU campus.

The sale will feature artwork by students, faculty, alumni and area artists--done in a variety of media such as sculptures, paintings and other two-dimensional art. Participants include Gordon Sherman, professor of art and design; Josh Knott, hometown graduate student; Charmion Arthur, instructor of art and design; and Lee Powers, chair of the Department of Art and Design.

The event will include a wood block press in Rarick Hall, room108, which will imprint any participant's T-shirt. The room will also have T-shirts for sale.

The sale, open to the public, will help fund art scholarships.
