Concert to raise funds for BBBS

A benefit concert to raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters will be Friday at Golden Q Sports Bar & Grill. The event is hosted by a local Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids' Sake team.

The night will feature local bands D.O.C. and Flat Spin, with special guests Dave and Kristy Gray. The event will start at 7:30 p.m., with bands beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets can be purchased in advance at Hays Academy of Hair Design, Golden Q Sports Bar & Grill or by calling Kim Stoecklein at (785) 639-5004.

Raffles prizes are available, with tickets $1 each or six for $5.
