After living in the Palco community for more than 60 years, Frances Eichman moved to Hays in 2007 to be closer to her family. Her family and friends gathered in Hays to celebrate her 86th birthday Feb. 22. She was honored with a family luncheon at Thirsty's Bar & Grill, followed by a card shower and birthday party at her home in Hays. She received many cards and flowers, and enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of cake, ice cream and visiting with many relatives and friends. She also visited her sister-in-law, Lila Baldwin, at Cedar View before her move back to Plainville the following week.
