The Center for Health Improvement and the Hays Medical Center Foundation will sponsor a free KidsQuest this summer. Kids will be encouraged to log 30 miles of fitness by running, walking, biking or swimming on their own. As they achieve mileage, they will earn prizes sponsored by various businesses.

KidsQuest is recommended for children preschool through eighth grade.

KidsQuest begins with registration at 6 p.m. May 9 with a 2-mile run/walk at the HaysMed fitness trail. The run/walk is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Participants will receive their summer packets at the shelter behind HaysMed. Participants are encouraged to park in parking lot H on the southeast side of the hospital. The finale will be Aug. 8, and each child attending will receive a free T-shirt.
