Luray schedules Christmas madrigal

LURAY -- Luray Historical Society will present a Christmas dinner and madrigal set Dec. 8 at the restored Stone Church.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for eggnog, then at 6 local actors and musicians entertain the audience prior to the meal cooked and served by the members of the Luray Historical Society. Fruits, cheeses, and bread are on the tables for appetizers. Then, a course of potato leek soup starts the meal. Pork loin and dressing with gravy, whole cranberry sauce, and green beans will make up the main course, with peppermint ice cream and chocolate sauce for dessert.

The gospel quartet ForeTold will be the highlight of the evening's musical entertainment.

The cost for the evening is $20 per person, and reservations are required no later than Dec. 1. Seating is limited. Call Maurita Cederberg in Luray at (785) 698-2459 for reservations.
