Special to The Hays Daily News

The FHSU Teacher Education Program will sponsor a Sibshop event from 10 a.m. to noon May 4 at Sternberg Museum of Natural History's Expeditions Room. There is no cost to participants for the event.

Sibshops is a nationally acclaimed program that provides peer support within a recreational environment. It's designed to celebrate the many contributions made by brothers and sisters of kids with special needs.

Each Sibshop encourages kids to participate in site based activities that encourage sharing, laughter and fun.

Sibshops are for siblings of kids with developmental, health or mental health concerns or serious illnesses. The Hays Sibshop is open to kids 6 to 8 years of age.

Online registration is required and available at haysparents.com/sibshops.
