Fort Hays State University's Tigers in Service will host an alternative weekend for 20 FHSU students Oct. 19 at the Wichita Rescue Mission.

Tigers in Service is a student service organization at FHSU that "promotes and provides community service opportunities which encourage social responsibility, community involvement, thoughtful action and civic engagement."

Volunteers will help with different service projects ranging from sorting food items and clothes to packing and loading boxes.
