Cyclones not like tornados
Q: What's the difference between a cyclone and a tornado? -- From an e-mail.
A: Whole bunches. A cyclone is basically a hurricane by another name, which is nothing like a tornado.
Cyclones, hurricanes or typhoons are large oceanic storm cells that can last for days, while a tornado is a violently rotating column of air spawned by cumulonimbus storm cells and usually lasts only minutes.

Q: Hey Eric, I just started watching that show "Lost," and I know this is a little clichéd, but what is that show about? -- From an e-mail.
A: No clue. It's not that I don't get it but that I've never seen a click of it.
Shameless plug here, but the first three seasons are available at the library.
