Lyrics show 'tabs' for song
I recently had a question about the 1932 Gene Autry song "Silver-Haired Daddy of Mine," and was able to find the lyrics (which the questioner already had) but I was not able yet to find the music. The lyrics included "tabs," which are the general chords and the time in the lyrics to strum it.
It might go against copyright laws if I were to print out the whole song with tabs, but here is the first verse and the chord is in parenthesis after the word where they should be strummed:
In (D) a vine covered shack (A) in the mountains (D)
Bravely (D) fighting the battle (G) of time (A)
Is a dear (D) one who's weathered life's (G) sorrows
It's (D) that silvered haired daddy (A) of mine (D)
I am looking for a fake book that has this song as unfortunately the library does not have one in the collection that does.
Till then, stop by the library with a dime and I can print out the entire tab sheet for you.
