KENSINGTON - The staff of U.S. Rep. Jerry Moran, R-Kan., will be in Smith and Osborne counties for local office hours Monday.

District Representative Rachel Roach will be available to answer questions and concerns of area residents. Anyone who has questions, comments or is experiencing difficulties with federal agencies is encouraged to attend.

The local office hours are scheduled as follows:

* Kensington, 8:45 a.m., Senior Center, 102 E. Pine.

* Smith Center, 10:15 a.m., county courthouse basement meeting room, 218 S. Grant.

* Downs, 11:45 a.m., State Bank of Downs basement meeting room, 900 N. Morgan.

* Osborne, 1:15 p.m., County courthouse basement meeting room, 423 W. Main.

* Alton, 2:30 p.m., Co-op, 501 Mill.

* Natoma, 4 p.m., Community Center, 704 N. Second.

ELLIS -- Treat mom to a homecooked meal that she doesn't have to cook or clean up after at the Alpha Rho sorority fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Ellis Nutrition Center, 103 W. Eighth.

The menu includes ham, turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, chicken and noodles, corn, salads, desserts and hot rolls, all homemade.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children 3 to 12, and children under 3 eat free.
