A nationwide series of conventions for Jehovah's Witnesses features two in Wichita.

A Spanish convention was last month at the Century II Convention Hall, where an English version is scheduled for Friday through Sunday.

The programs will continue worldwide through the end of December with the theme "God's Word is Truth!"

John Harris, a spokesman for the organization, said the them this year "is significant because it underscores a core family value for Jehovah's Witnesses."

He added this year's convention "will provide families and individuals with fresh new resources for family and personal bible study."
