Sherry, the idea that you want a U.S. President to stop breathing is reprehensible and unpatriotic. Maybe you and Bin Laden should hang out together in a cave - that's about how simple-minded and evil that statement is. Obama didn't start this war, but he has an obligation toward it, and the U.S. is supported by many other countries in regard to this war. His Nobel speech, by the way, underscored why he made the decision. I yearn for more logic in our nation and am so glad that at least our President is a logical person. It's frightening to imagine how most of us would handle being in that position. I don't envy it, and I'm glad that someone cool and thoughtful, someone who is not hateful or simple-minded is in it, whether or not I agree with his or her decisions.

Spending programs were done by the goverment in the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and big time this year, and 95% of the time they did nothing. Haven't they learned anything yet? Let's get some real people with real minds doing things up there in Topeka and Washington....

i have a son in law and a daughter in the military.so i do agree with everything our commander in chief decides .like has already been said,he made an informed decision only after he counceled with his military minds together.he has not done anything without first weighing all possible options.i did not vote 4 him but after seeing him in action,i wish i had of.i will stand behind him and will vote 4 him next election

The decision was not Obamas alone, perhaps he is LISTENING to the commanders in the field. Hows that for a novel idea ? Let the warfighters on the ground decide what's needed to insure their own safety and that of the people they are supposed to protect.

hope to War would end : 12/4/2009
When the field general in Afghanistan requested for the commander-in-chief to send more troops, how can President Obama not responding? I just think that Obama was very brave to run & is now our new President when he has a daunting task to try to bringing some relieve, or whatever after George Bush, Jr. left such a mass and left our country in such debt. I personally feel that the U.S. men & women should not be in combat, let the natives fight for their own. May God bless our country, our President, & our shoulders.

Agree in what way? That he should send more or less or just agree that he should send any? He should send as many as the General's determine will help get the job done the best and the fastest. Sending more troops may help reach this goal, and sending less or none may hinder it.

GW went to Iraq instead of going after the primary target that killed 3k+ Americans. What choice is there? Name a President that acquired a bigger mess? An economy, a reputation....All from a boob that tanked every financial institution he ever controlled......But he got his didn't he. Bin-Laden was in sight but nooooo we had to go after a man that our former President's daddy and Ronnie Ray-Gun supplied the very weapons to that we were looking for. I am a God fearing,conservative DEMOCRAT. Limbaugh is a joke.
