2 killed in Johnson County crash

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (AP) -- Two people have been killed in a traffic accident in southern Overland Park.

The Kansas City Star reports that a third person was also injured in the crash early Tuesday, and that a fourth person who tried to rescue the victims, suffered burns to his hands.

Overland Park Police spokesman Jim Weaver said the crash occurred about 1:00 a.m. when the car struck a power pole and clipped a garage. The car then rolled several times and burst into flames.

The victims' identities have not been released.
