Albert Simon Rohleder

Albert Simon Rohleder, 93, Wichita, formerly of Victoria, died Friday, April 20, 2012, at the Catholic Care Center, Wichita.

He was born March 3, 1919, in Victoria to Peter and Pauline (Dreiling) Rohleder. He was a graduate of Victoria High School.

He married Rose (Kamees) on Feb. 14, 1956, in Wichita. She preceded him in death July 20, 1992. As a young man he farmed and worked in his grandfather's dry good store in Victoria. He moved to Wichita, in 1951, and worked at Cessna Aircraft Corp. for 31 years, until retirement in 1982.

Survivors include two sons, Al Rohleder Jr. and wife, Maureen, and Bob Evans and wife, Janice, all of Wichita; a sister, Clara Rohleder, Victoria; seven grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; eight brothers, Eugene, Peter, Ray, Herbert, Alfred, Ervin, Richard, and Gilbert Rohleder; and two sisters, Josephine Rohleder and Sophie Rohleder.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria; burial in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, both at Cline's Mortuary 412 Main Victoria, KS. 67671.

A vigil will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.
