Jerry and Pam Nowak, Gorham, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Jannalynn Marie Brooks, to Michael John Manning, son of Ray and Linda Manning, Oakley.

The bride-elect is a 1996 graduate of Russell High School and a 2007 graduate of California State University-Northridge with a master's degree in physical therapy. She is employed at Hays PT & Spine Rehab.

The prospective bridegroom is a 1991 graduate of Ellsworth High School and a 1996 graduate of Fort Hays State University with a bachelor's degree in communication studies. He is employed at Eagle Radio, Hays.

A Sept. 4, 2010, wedding is planned at Black Canyon Ranch, Estes Park, Colo. A reception will follow Sept. 25 in Gorham.
