Emprise locations will have food drive

Special to The Hays Daily News

From Dec. 3 to 8, Emprise Bank will have a company-wide food drive in partnership with the Kansas Food Bank. Donations collected in Hays will go to St. Joseph Food Pantry, which serves 250 families each month.

It is estimated 12.1 percent of the population, 3,390 people, in Ellis County are food insecure.

Emprise invites the community to participate by bringing canned and dry food donations to any of Emprise's three Hays locations: 1200 Main, 1011 E. 27th or 2701 Hall.

Examples of items to bring include canned fruits and vegetables, juice, peanut butter, canned or bagged beans, bagged rice or pasta, soup, dry cereal and oatmeal, Bisquick, Hamburger Helper, and canned tuna, chicken, and ham.

Last year, Emprise employees across the state brought in 1,650 pounds of food during a weeklong food drive.
