Tiger baseball swept by UNK

The Fort Hays State University baseball team lost 8-5 in the final contest of a four-game home set against University of Nebraska-Kearney on Monday afternoon.

The Tigers dropped to 3-12, 2-10 MIAA, while UNK moved to 13-6, 7-5 MIAA. UNK scored four runs in the first inning against Nathan Zimmerman, who went one inning and took the loss. Casey Sedbrook hit a two-run homer in right center field in the third inning, but UNK led 8-2 entering the bottom of the eighth. FHSU was outscored 53-11 in the four-game series.

The Tigers play host to Bethany College in a 3 p.m. home game today at Larks Park.
