FHSU men seventh in Branson tourney

BRANSON, Mo. -- The Fort Hays State University men's golf team finished seventh at the First Federal Bank Invitational, which wrapped up Tuesday.

The Tigers finished with a 614 overall with rounds of 304 and 310.

Trey Herman was the Tigers' top golfer as he finished in a tie for 17th. He had a two-day total of 151. Mark Cunningham finished a stroke back to tie for 21st.

Luke Gordon finished with a 79-76 -- 155 to finish in a tie for 31st. Travis Kleweno also scored for the Tigers, firing a 75-81 -- 156. Sam Christianson competed but did not figure into the team scoring.

He finished his rounds at 87 and 82.

Host Henderson State won the team title with a 586. The individual title went to St. Cloud State's Tyler Koivisto with a two-round 142.
