FHSU tennis wins at Hastings By The Hays Daily News
The short-handed Fort Hays State University tennis team defeated NAIA Hastings (Neb.) College, 6-3, for a road non-conference victory Tuesday. Freshman McKenzie Haynes missed the match because of illness and junior Camille Caron-Bedard, the team's No. 1 player, continues to miss time with an injury. FHSU had to forfeit two matches, but moved to 7-8.
FHSU went 2-1 at doubles with the lone loss a forfeit. Fort Hays went 4-2 at singles with also one forfeit. The Tigers won at spots 1-4 in singles.
Junior Brittney Ricci, freshman Katie Hipp, junior Michelle Miller and freshman Reinette Strydom all finished 2-0.
