Fort Hays State University tennis coach Brian Flax announced Thursday the signing of two new players for 2013-14.

According to FHSU Sports Information, Katie Hipp and Raven Dick signed as true freshmen.

Hipp, from Central Plains High School in Claflin, compiled a 97-24 career win-loss record, and was 31-2 her senior season. She teamed up in doubles for a second-place state finish in Class 3-2-1A. She is a three-time state placer.

Dick is from Poudre High School in Fort Collins, Colo. She was 8-2 for Poudre last spring.

"I am extremely happy to bring these ladies to our program," Flax said in the university's release. "They are very athletic and their best tennis is still ahead of them."
