Tigers’ Wolf second at K.T. Woodman By The Hays Daily News
Freshman javelin thrower Madison Wolf and junior Brady Tien led the Fort Hays State University track team at the K.T. Woodman at Wichita State University this weekend. Wolf took second in the javelin with a throw of 142 feet, 7 inches. Tien tied for second in the pole vault with a mark of 15-9.25. The top four vaulters all tied, but Wichita
State’s Lex Parsons (Oakley) won on misses.
FHSU’s Megan Honas (Ellis) was fourth at 132-6 and Shannon Toll (Hill City) took fifth at 131-0. Kylie Gaughan (Hays High) finished fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:53.07, while Ramsey McCarter was fifth in the 10,000-meter run at 40:03.74. Anna Eigruber finished fourth in the triple jump (39-11.25) and fifth in the long jump (18-9.75).
Emporia State’s Peyton Weiss (Russell) took first in the long jump with a leap of 20-1. Hastings (Neb.) College’s Tyler Rathke (Hays High) won the discus with a toss of 175-2. Bethany College’s Seth Derr (Phillipsburg) threw 208-9 to take fifth in the javelin.
