Tiger volleyball falls at Washburn, Emporia

EMPORIA --  The Fort Hays State University volleyball dropped a 3-1 decision Saturday to Emporia State University, falling by scores of 21-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-20 at White Auditorium. The loss dropped the Tigers to 3-11 overall and 1-6 in the MIAA.

On Friday, the Tigers fell in straight sets to No. 15 ranked Washburn University in Topeka by scores of 25-20, 25-21, 25-13. Washburn improved to 14-3, 4-0 in MIAA play.

Madison Schwartz finished with 12 kills to lead the way for FHSU. Haley Corkill hit .600 with six kills, while Raegen Vanderplas finished with 17 assists and Libby Ary 16. Mackenzie Weinman had 19 digs, while Jenna Ulrich and Mallory Flagor had six blocks apiece.
