Tigers pick up two wins in Oklahoma

The Fort Hays State University volleyball team won two road matches against Oklahoma Panhandle State University, 25-17, 25-23, 25-17, and then beat Northwest Oklahoma State, 25-20, 24-26, 25-17, 25-16. FHSU moved to 5-11, while OPSU dropped to 3-13 and Northwest moved to 2-12.
Against Northwest, senior Jenna Ulrich set a new school record for total blocks in a four-set match (11), solo blocks in a four-set match (five) and tied the rally-scoring era for solo blocks in a match (five).
Against OPSU, junior Sara Hewson led the team with 12 kills and a .611 hitting percentage. Versus Northwest, senior Madison Schwartz had 12 kills and junior Taylor Mares collected 11. After the match was tied at 1-1, FHSU had a 9-0 run in the third set and a 12-1 run in the fourth set.
