FHSU women win on road

ALVA, Okla. -- The Fort Hays State University women's soccer team defeated Northwestern Oklahoma State University, 5-1, on the road. The Tigers moved to 2-1. FHSU led 2-0 at halftime and 5-0 before NWOSU tacked on the final goal. Hailey Davey scored in the 12th minute on an assist by Hannah Jurgens. Dani Harris scored in the 16th minute on an assist from Jordan Shaw.

Jordan Hester, Sabrina Van Horn and Kylee Loneker scored in the second half in a 19-minute span from the 58 to the 77-minute mark. Nicole Barnaba made four saves in the victory.

The Tiger men's soccer team is 1-1 and dropped out of the preseason top-25 after they were ranked No. 23. FHSU is still receiving votes.
