Keehn headed to nationals for FHSU

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Fort Hays State University junior Cory Keehn will head to the NCAA Division II national cross country championships.
Keehn finished in 14th place Saturday at the NCAA Central Regional and was one of three runners not a member of a qualifying team. Keehn ran the 10K course in 32 minutes, 15 seconds to lead the TIger men. FHSU finished fifth out of 23 teams.
Augustana's Paul Yak was the top individual finisher in 31:13. Isaac Mills was the Tigers' second runner. He finished 35th in 32:59, while Jonny Bernasky was 47th in 33:22. Ryan Hopkins came in 51st at 33:31 and Chris Ramsgard was 53rd in 33:34.
The NCAA Championships are Nov. 23 in Spokane, Wash.
The Tiger women were 11th in Saturday's regional out of 30 teams. Micki Krzesisnski led the Tigers witha 49th-place time of 22:39 on the 6K course. Marie Schaller was 56h in 22:49. Kylie Gaughan finished 58th in 22:42 and Ramsey McCarter (23:03) and Alex Nelson (23:26) came in at 72nd and 97th, respectively.
