Forbes gives Wichita's Value Place high franchise ranking

(MCT) Value Place has been ranked by Forbes magazine as one of its 2014 Best Franchises in America, in the June 16 issue.

Forbes ranked the Wichita-based extended-stay hotel chain No. 6 in the over $500,000 investment category.

Forbes said between 2008 and 2012, based on research it commissioned by FRANdata of Arlington, Va., Value Place had a growth rate of 12 percent and a continuity rate of 99 percent. Continuity rate measures how many franchised units remained open during the four-year period.

Forbes said it looked at 203 franchise brands in that category.

Value Place has nearly 190 hotels in 32 states.
