Clayton Bruce Franklin
Clayton Bruce Franklin, 56, Utica, died Thursday, May 8, 2008, at his home.
He was born Aug. 14, 1951, in Wichita to Vern Stiles and Margaret Alice McClenahan Franklin.
He married Karen Rush on Nov. 28, 1970, in Utica. She preceded him in death on Dec. 16, 2002. He later married Bev Turner on Aug. 16, 2006, in Utica. He worked for Cheyenne Oil for 33 years as a field foreman and pusher. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of McKinstry-Jones Post 380 of the American Legion, Utica, the Ransom Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion Riders, and Harley Owners Group.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Benjamin Franklin and Travis Franklin, both of Lascassas, Tenn.; three daughters, Kim Kendall, Colby, Amy Engelbert, McCook, Neb., and Val Klitzke, Sterling, Colo.; a brother, Butch Rives, Callao, Mo.; a sister, Sue Herrman, Salina; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church, Utica.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City; burial in Utica Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to McKinstry-Jones Post 380 of the American Legion, Utica, or American Legion Riders in care of the funeral home.
