Hays Medical Center will sponsor the program "Time Out for Grief: Handling Grief in the World of Health Care" from 8 to 10 a.m. Oct. 27. A repeat session will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

The speaker for the program will be Myrna Kober of Hays Medical Center Hospice, Palliative Care and Lifeline.

Topics will include defining the grieving process; the multiple facets of grief; interventions to facilitate normal grief; and support systems for health care professionals.

Continuing education credits are available.
