HHS soccer dominates Great Bend By The Hays Daily News

GREAT BEND — The Hays High School girls' soccer team dominated its rival Friday on the road.

Hays High senior goalkeeper Laura Truman had an easy night since Great Bend didn't get off a single shot on goal, and the Indians cruised to a 4-0 victory against Great Bend.

Hays High (8-2, 5-0 Western Athletic Conference) ended with 18 shots on goal.

The Indians got on the scoreboard early. Taylor Herman scored in the eighth minute on an assist by Megan Bird.

Hays High scored the rest of its goals in the second half.

Shelby Dinkel scored in the 45th minute, and Michele Linville added another in the 66th minute on an assist from Dinkel.

Alexa Brull headed in the final goal off a set piece. Reagan Kaiser provided the cross.
