HHS swimmers compete at Topeka

TOPEKA -- The Hays High School swim team took seventh place in an 11-team field at the Topeka West Invitational on Tuesday. The Indians finished with 165 points, well behind the 487 points of first place Washburn Rural. Bishop Miege took second with 423 points in a field heavy with Class 5A and 6A teams. The Indians' 200 free relay team qualified for state with a time of 1 minute, 38.88 seconds. Hays High next competes on Jan. 21 when it hosts its own invitational at the Center for Health Improvement in Hays.
