Joseph P. Gassmann, 65, Grinnell, died Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, in Grinnell.

He was born April 1, 1944, near Grinnell to Joseph Peter and Germaine (Kreutzer) Gassmann.

He was a truck driver.

Survivors include two sons, Tim Gassmann, Hays, and Jeff Gassmann, Plainville; a daughter, Sheila Teichmer; two brothers, Henry Gassmann, Grinnell, and Martin Gassmann, Oakley; three sisters, Clementine Katt, Grainfield, Delores Applebee, Eldorado Springs, Mo., and Margaret Bruggeman, McPherson; a half-sister, Alice Wagoner, Jennings; and grandchildren.

Serrvices will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Schmitt Funeral Home, Quinter; inurnment in Grainfield Cemetery.

Family will recieve friends from 1 p.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
