Democracy's demise?

Has the 2008 campaign and election stood democracy on its head?

Seems to me what voters believe in and how they voted were two different things. A majority of voters voted for left wing agendas but polls show most voters to be center right. How is that being democratic?

Do most voters want their taxes raised? Do most voters want bigger government? What about amnesty for illegals? Drilling for oil? Socialism? A downsized military?

Downsized national security? Bailouts?

Most voters do not want more abortions as per Obama's Freedom of Choice Act that removes all restriction in killing the unborn. Most voters don't want same sex marriages, likely to be sanctioned with Obama's appointment of liberal judges to the Supreme Court and other courts?

Why did voters put more Democrats in office when it was Democrats that caused the gas crisis and mortgage crisis? How does that promote democracy?

More Catholics (54 percent) voted for Obama than McCain yet most Catholics don't believe in abortion, particularly the genocidal act of killing babies at birth. Why vote for the biggest pro abortionist candidate in this country's history? Most Catholics, who are pro-life, voted for Obama which makes no sense whatsoever.

Liberals will now want all of us to "play nice." We'll be expected to take the high road and not criticize Obama. Two things: A true democracy doesn't depend on everybody being on the same page and the liberals who will scream the most about criticism are the same ones that have shown pure unadulterated hate for Bush. I guarantee you there will not be hatred, by and large, coming from the right as it came from the left for the past eight years. Why? That's not how conservatives operate. Hatred will continue to come from the left even if Obama criticism is constructive coming from the right.

Speaking of hatred! Journalists, liberals, and Democrats disgraced this country before the world when it comes to our 43rd president, but also when it comes to Sarah Palin. Liberals trashing Palin says more about the "demonizers" than the Governor of Alaska. I call it low life unprofessional biased journalism. Palin is for real and McCain would have gone down by a bigger margin had it not been for his running mate. Exit polls and other polls prove it. Liberal investigative reporting 99% of the time went nowhere on Palin but unethical and corrupt journalism in this country refused to set the record straight even after they discovered going down the wrong path.

Professional journalism in mainstream media is dead in this country. MSM didn't even try to hide being in the tank for Obama. They investigated the holy heck out of Palin -- but not their precious Obama or Biden.

There were many factors that came into play, but Obama won for two primary reasons. He had a bottomless pit of money from Hollywood, elitists and the rich, and he had MSM in his hip pocket. I thought Democrats were for the little guy and the poor? Does anybody in their right mind think, had roles been reversed, that McCain would not have won?

Journalists complained about not having access to Obama and not really knowing him, yet gave Obama their campaign money and voted for him! Objectivity in MSM journalism is dead in this country and maybe our democracy along with it. MSM saw to it that a majority of voters voted for agendas they don't even believe in. MSM is now picking America's president.

Kudos to western Kansas voters where obviously one's "mind" mattered and MSM propaganda was ignored.
