Royal Lattin, 94, Smith Center, died Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at Smith County Long Term Care, Smith Center.

He was born on April 7, 1915, in rural Smith County to Roy and Celia Lattin.

Survivors include a son, Jon Lattin, Lawrence; a daughter, Lisa Frost, Wakeeney; a sister, Elaine Carpenter, Mesa, Ariz.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine; and a grandson.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Simmons-Rentschler Mortuary, Smith Center; burial in Fairview Cemetery, Smith Center.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to Smith County Memorial Hospital, First Presbyterian Church or High Plains Mental Health in care of the mortuary.
