Ronald and Brenda Matteson, Phillipsburg, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Kendra Kay Matteson, to Robert Joseph "R.J." Meyer III, son of Robert Jr. and Phyllis Meyer, Colwich.

Grandparents of the couple are Roscoe Matteson, Phillipsburg, the late Frances Matteson, the late Kenneth and Elizabeth Brobst, Robert Sr. and Virginia Meyer, Andale, and Charles and Wilma Hollerich, Tipton,

The bride-elect is a 2006 graduate of Eastern Heights High School, Agra, and plans to graduate in December from Fort Hays State University with a degree in health and human performance. She is an admission clerk at Hays Medical Center.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2005 graduate of St. John High School and a 2009 graduate of FHSU with a bachelor's degree in marketing. He is employed by Knights of Columbus selling insurance.

A May 8, 2010, wedding is planned at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria.
