Leland and Christy Mense, Grinnell, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Stephanie Lynn Mense, to Christopher Thomas Grennan, son of Thomas and Carol Grennan, Silver Lake.

Grandparents of the couple are Carol Karlin, the late Marne Karlin, Rodney and Frances Mense, the late Lawrence and Mary Alice Johnson, and the late Frank and Margaret Grennan.

The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Grinnell High School, a 2006 graduate of Kansas State University with a bachelor's degree in life sciences and a 2008 graduate of Wichita State University with a master's degree as a physician's assistant. She is employed at Heart Health PA, Overland Park.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of Silver Lake High School, a 2006 graduate of KSU with a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and is a third-year medical student at University of Kansas School of Medicine.

A July 11, 2009, wedding is planned at Immaculate Conception Church, Grinnell.
