Mildred M. Wellbrock
Mildred M. Wellbrock, 87, Victoria, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008, at St. John's Health Care Center, Victoria.
She was born March 31, 1921, in Victoria to Joseph and Catherine (Berens) Wellbrock.
She entered the Sisters of St. Agnes Convent in Fond Du Lac, Wis., at age 16 and professed in 1939. She was a teacher at Two Rivers, Wis., Younkers, N.Y., and in Pennsylvania. She left the order in 1969 and lived in Wichita for 25 years and was a teacher at Wichita State University until retirement in 1991.
Survivors include a sister, Viola Repshire, Oakley; and two sister-in-laws, Leona Wellbrock, Victoria, and Doris Wellbrock, New Iberia, La.
She was preceded in death by her parents; eight brothers, Herman, Louis, Edward, Fred, Ben, Lawrence, Marvin and Clarence "Pete;" an infant brother, Roy James; and three sisters, Elizabeth Wellbrock, Eleanor Munk and Luella Kuhn.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria; burial in St. Fidelis Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday, both at Cline's Mortuary, 412 Main Victoria, KS 67671.
A vigil will be at 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
