Olga Forsythe, 75, Hays, died Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Hays Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 21, 1937, in Havana, Cuba.
She married Don Forsythe in 1960. He preceded her in death in June of 1989. She was a foreign language teacher at Thomas More Prep-Marian High School for 20 years and taught at Hays High School.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include a son, John Forsythe, Orlando, Fla.; two daughters, Susan Rohr and husband, Mike, Newton, and Karyn Schumacher and husband, Jay, Victoria; two sisters, Elvireta Rodriguez, Miami, Fla., and Iliana Rodriguez Villar, Victoria de Las Tunas, Cuba; three grandchildren, Jeremiah Schumacher and wife, Kayci, Hays, Ryan Rohr and wife, Kristin, Maryville, Tenn., and Heather Fair and husband, Eric, Newton; and 10 great-grandchildren, Ben, Ella, Jack and Max Schumacher, Taylor, Bryson, and Alayna Fair, Kail, Nolan and Landon Rohr.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her aunt, Elvira Piedra.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Monday, both at Brock's North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine, Hays, KS 67601.
A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
