Kirn and Nina Osterhaus, Wichita, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Therese Kathleen Osterhaus, to Dustin Marshall Leochner, son of Robert and Shirley Leochner, Hutchinson.

Grandparents are the late Victor and Catherine Knipp and the late Alonzo and Lucille Leochner.

The bride-elect graduated from Bishop Carroll Catholic High School, Wichita, and University of Kansas with a bachelor's degree in social work. She is attending KU majoring in applied behavior science.

The prospective bridegroom graduated from Buhler High School and KU with bachelor's and master's degrees in education. He is a history and psychology teacher and assistant coach for track and boys' varsity basketball at FreeState High School, Lawrence.

An Aug. 8, 2009, wedding is planned at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Lawrence.
