Ticket sales will open to the general public on Saturday at Nextech Zoo Fest for the price of $20 for adult tickets and $10 for children 12 and under. The Oct. 16 event will take place in the Barton Community College auditorium, and only 650 tickets are available. A meet-and-greet with Hanna will occur before the presentation. There will be a VIP reception for sponsors, and sponsorships are still being accepted at this time.
"We are extremely excited about Jack Hanna's appearance here in Great Bend," said Joe Cannon, Zoo Society president. "Jack is a great leader for small zoos and his accomplishments directly line up with what we are trying to accomplish for the Great Bend Brit Spaugh Zoo."
Hanna became a media sensation because of his appearances on David Letterman, "Good Morning America," "Larry King Live" and many other shows. His TV celebrity status and the animals he showcases help Hanna as an ambassador for wildlife and zoos nationwide. Hanna and his assistants will be in Great Bend to perform skits and showcase different animals that travel in his tour. Attendees will learn about wild animals and the importance of zoo preservation and culture.
