A Woodston man was killed in an automobile accident Thursday evening.

At about 6:30 p.m. Thursday, the Osborne County Sheriff's Department received a call of a rollover accident on U.S. Highway 24, 1.5 miles west of Bloomington.

Larry Leon Cooper, 52, was eastbound on U.S. Highway 24. He lost control of his 1993 Cadillac DeVille and crossed the center line, hitting a cement box covert in the north ditch. The car rolled several times.

Cooper was not wearing a safety belt and died as a result of his injuries.
