Osborne couple killed in Oklahoma accident
TONKAWA, Okla. (AP) — Two Osborne residents were killed when their pickup collided with another truck in Kay County, Oklahoma.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Debra K. Morrison and Mark Morrison were pronounced dead of massive injuries at the scene of the accident about 2:20 p.m. Monday near Tonkawa.
The patrol said the vehicle driven by Debra Morrison was headed north on Interstate 35 at the U.S. 60 exit as a truck driven by Howard Nibarger was headed east on U.S. 60.
Troopers said Morrison’s vehicle failed to stop for a stop sign, entered the intersection and was struck by Nibarger’s truck.
The Morrisons were pinned in the wreckage of their truck for about an hour before Tonkawa firefighters freed them.
Troopers said Debra Morrison and Nibarger were wearing seat belts.
