OAKLEY -- An accident in Gove County on Thursday left three Grinnell residents with possible injuries, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred at 5:23 p.m. on Interstate 70 approximately 4 miles east of Oakley. A vehicle driven by 18-year-old Heather Nicole Wright ran into the back of a vehicle occupied by Elmer Joseph Geist, 80, and Evelyn Geist, 73.

Both vehicles entered the south ditch. The Geists' 1990 Chevrolet rolled and came to rest on its wheels.

The occupants were then taken by Emergency Medical Services to Logan County Hospital in Oakley.

All three were wearing seat belts, according to the KHP.
