Indian tennis gets season going

McPHERSON -- The Hays High School tennis team opened its season Tuesday instead of Monday. The meet was rescheduled a day later due to poor weather.

Hays High's best performance came from senior Cody Brown, who went 2-2 at No. 1 singles. He nearly went 3-1, but lost the tiebreaker in his first match to Great Bend's Grant Harris.

Senior Bayron Rivera finished 1-2 at No. 2 singles. Senior Nicholas Glassman and sophomore Andrew McGinnis went 1-3 at No. 1 doubles, and junior Austin Berry and freshman Mikey Ploutz dropped all three of their matches at No. 2 doubles.
