EL DORADO, Kan. (AP) -- A judge has determined that there is enough evidence for a south-central Kansas man to stand trial in the shooting death of a 14-year-old girl at a drinking party.
Butler County District Judge Charles Hart issued his ruling Friday in the case against Morgan Jarvi.
The 25-year-old Augusta man is accused of second-degree murder in the death last month of Andrea Young.
Prosecutors say Jarvi acted recklessly in the accidental shooting at his home.
Augusta police say Jarvi was showing off a gun at the party when it went off, hitting Young.
He pleaded not guilty, and Hart set trial for March 30.
