Semi jackknifes on I-70, sending driver to hospital
RUSSELL -- A North Carolina driver lost control of his semi Tuesday night and jackknifed on a bridge on Interstate 70 east of Russell.
The accident occurred at 10 p.m. approximately 9 miles east of town.
According to a Kansas Highway Patrol report, Timothy N. Jackson, 46, Fayetteville, N.C., was westbound on I-70, lost control, struck a guardrail and jackknifed.
He was taken to Russell Regional Hospital with injuries. He was wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
