Applications for city of Hays social service funds and alcohol tax funds will be accepted through March 26.

Agencies requesting social service funds must serve the residents of Hays, not duplicate existing services and actively receive contributions for services. Agencies requesting startup funds are encouraged to apply if they can demonstrate a need for the new service.

Agencies whose principal purpose is alcoholism and drug abuse prevention and education, detoxification, and intervention and treatment of people who are alcoholics or drug abusers or are in danger of becoming alcoholics or drug abusers can apply for alcohol tax funds.

Alcohol tax funds are available from both the city of Hays and Ellis County.
