Film synopsis: Decepticon forces return to Earth on a mission to take Sam Witwicky (LaBeouf) prisoner, after the young hero learns the truth about the ancient origins of the Transformers.

Positive aspects: The battle between the robots rages on, with the Decepticons being badder than ever, while the Autobots power up to full throttle with a host of new vehicles along for the ride, some of which discharge a round of comical car banter, showing that even the motor pool has a strong sense of humor. The visual effects display absolute fascination as they fill segment after segment with top-of-the-line craftsmanship, supporting the film with a broad selection of astonishing sights. All of the action scenes carry a power-packed punch, sending a huge rush of adrenalin across the screen, spilling pure exhilaration throughout the theater, and generating an explosive experience for the viewing audience. The storyline is a fine follow up to its 2007 predecessor, capturing your interest with a solidly structured script and a film pace that flows with total ease. Some of the characters emanate overly goofy personas, which was sighted as a complaint in the previous movie, and presents a small non-necessity in this production. However, it certainly doesn't evolve into a major issue, with a wide range of other elements taking precedent, as this smashing sequel clearly more than meets the eye by transforming into a box office success.

Title: "My Sister's Keeper" (PG-13).

The cast: Cameron Diaz, Abigail Breslin.

Film synopsis: Anna Fitzgerald looks to earn medical emancipation from her parents, who until now have relied on their youngest child to help their leukemia-stricken daughter, Kate, remain alive.

Positive aspects: Most of the dialogue is presented properly, while a string of powerfully dramatic scenes are correctly positioned, culminating into a script that is very well-written. The cast, which also includes Jason Patrick, Joan Cusack and Alec Baldwin, brings together an ensemble that definitely suits the movie, as they intertwine into a fine gathering. Their acting abilities certainly garner a round of praise, with their portrayals showing well-groomed traits and highlighting the picture with emotionally charged performances. Specific places do contain overly sappy material, which is expected from a film such as this. But, it doesn't warrant any major griping, as I became totally wrapped up in the movie, even growing teary eyed during a few junctions within the storyline. (Yes, big boys do cry.) This is a very heartfelt feature, drawing in your attention, keeping it fully focused toward the screen throughout the entire two-hour time span, and brandishing an emotional impact that will leave a lasting impression.
