Artists, craftsmen to show goods in Wilson

WILSON -- Award-winning Kansas authors, artists, craftsmen and food producers from across the state will showcase their work at the annual Christmas Open House from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Kansas Originals Market and Gallery in Wilson.
Features include:
* Bobbi Kerth, WaKeeney, whose Santa paintings have been featured in the American Diabetes Association "Gift of Hope Catalog."
* Lora Reiter, a retired Ottawa University English professor who grew up on a farm near Beloit. She has written three books and published many poems and short stories.
* Carolyn Hall, Shawnee, who grew upon a small farm near Olmitz. Her book "Prairie Meals and Memories -- Living the Golden Rural" is a collection of homestyle recipes and rural living experiences.
* Heike Kirk came to Kansas in 1991 from Germany. She and her partner, Kevin Henning, Hutchinson, incorporate recycled wood and metal in their yard art metal projects.
* Blacksmith Coffee Roastery, Lindsborg, owned by Mark Galloway, is an artisan microroaster of premium coffees.
* Cheryl Travis, Lawrence, who makes hand-quilted cards.
* Wanda Squib, Wichita, who makes wooden signs, standing wood items and pictures.
